The AK-47 | Redline has been in the game forever and has never fallen off. Red over black, clean silhouette, no clutter. It comes from The Phoenix Collection and its rarity is Classified.
If you're thinking about selling one, there's a detail in its float range that completely changes what you'll get for it.
It doesn't exist in Factory New, and that drives everything
The Redline's float range runs from 0.10 to 0.70. Since Factory New requires a float below 0.07, this skin can never come out Factory New. Battle-Scarred doesn't reach the far end either: the cap is 0.70.
That leaves four real wears:
- Minimal Wear — the best finish this skin can have
- Field-Tested — by far the most common
- Well-Worn
- Battle-Scarred
Why the Minimal Wear spikes
Here's the interesting part. On most skins the price steps down more or less evenly from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. Not on the Redline: because Minimal Wear is the ceiling, it absorbs all the demand from anyone who wants the good version.
The result isn't a gentle step between wears — it's a wall. Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred sit in a narrow band together, and Minimal Wear plays in a different league: it can cost several times what any of the other three do.
If you own a Redline, the first thing to check is its float. The difference between 0.149 and 0.151 is invisible on screen and huge on the price: it's the line between Minimal Wear and Field-Tested.
What to check before selling
- The exact float, not just the wear name. A Field-Tested near 0.15 is worth more than one near 0.37, even though Steam labels them the same.
- Whether it's StatTrak™, which is a different market with different prices.
- Stickers, which can add a lot or nothing at all depending on which ones and what condition they're in.
